Mark Rollins' New Career & The Women's Health Club

Mark Rollins has sold the software company he founded to a large multinational corporation.  The transaction left him with more money than he can ever spend, a large empty office building, and far too much time on his hands.  He repurposed the building into an exclusive fitness club for socially elite wealthy women of Nashville, Tennessee.  Against the back drop of daily life in the fitness club, 66-year-old Rollins becomes a father figure to club members who turn to him when they have a problem.

When a club member's husband is reported missing, Rollins sets out to solve the mystery exposing himself and his family to unexpected danger. Rollins, with the aid of his loyal team of computer experts, uses his money and friends in high places to unravel the mystery and protect those close to him.

Mark Rollins and the Puppeteer

Mark Rollins and the Puppeteer is my newest book publiched in December of 2009.  In it, a good man, Harold T. Lansden, Esq., is dead. He was a lawyer, a rising political figure, and the man who had called Mark Rollins for help the night before his death.  According to reports, he was gunned down in Nashville’s notorious Printers Alley during a drunken reveler’s celebratory shooting spree.  Was that it?  Was that all there was to it? Was it just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?  Or was it premeditated murder by someone orchestrating the people and events—a puppeteer pulling the strings?

While the Puppeteer story is a work of fiction the law firm issues it deals with are real—embezzlement, compensation plans, technology, and surviving during an economic downturn.

The paperback and Kindle editions of Mark Rollins And The Puppeteer are available at Amazon.com along with other books in the Mark Rollins series.  Limited edition library bound hardback copies as well as signed copies of the book can be purchased in the on-line store at http://store.markrollinsadventures.com.

Marion Collins Remembers Old Sayings and Lessons For Life

Marion Collins Remembers was compiled and edited by Tom Collins to celebrate his father's 90th birthday.  Throughout much of his adult life, Marion maintained a journal of sayings and lessons for living a good life.  He wrote in pencil and in longhand in an old green spiral notebook. The pages were ruled and the cover was plastic and the whole thing was three-hole punched.  Some of the sayings and lessons are his own original insights. Others are remembered. Particularly they were remembered from the days Marion spent growing up around his grandfather, James Wesley Collins.

His remembered sayings and lessons for life cannot be separated from the man, Marion Thomas Collins.  They are the core beliefs that reflect his character, a character refined by life experiences and particularly by three major influences on his life: his grandfather preacher, his hard working father, and his practical-minded wife.  Taken together, they provide the recipe for success through work, being a good person and helping others, and finally, holding others accountable for doing the same.   His decision to record these sayings was inspired by the memory of his grandfather and fulfills that remembered saying, "Teach your children and you also teach your grandchildren."

My Journey
Alice Elsie Welch Collins

My Journey was compiled and edited by Martha and Tom Collins to celebrate Alice Elsie Welch Collins’ 90th birthday on August 22, 2009. The story and journey are hers—told in her words. Of the early days she says, “My parents had once owned a farm but most of the time they were sharecroppers.  We moved often—always looking for a better place to farm. The entire family worked in the fields.  It was a hard life."
Her journey takes her from the mud of Louisiana to Memphis, from picking cotton to a lifelong partnership with husband Marion Collins, from mother of four to grandmother and then great grandmother to many, many more.  There is no doubt that Alice has left a lot out of her story—some because there is no reason to burden others with hurtful things and some because of her modesty.  Alice is a heroine.  She is the person who was always there—who shared home and what could be spared friends and family.  That is her story.  She put it this way, “We shared our home with many folks along the way and always made room for anyone needing a lift in life.”

Complimentary copies are available to family and friends by contacting the author at tom.collins@i65n.com. To purchase the book, go to the Online Store at www.markrollinsadventures.com.
